From Eason CHAN to Hebe TIEN, and from the TV dramas White Magnolia to A Touch of Green, her musical creations have always moved you.
One of Weiwuying's finest self-produced music programs, Masters Play, in 2025 invites Golden Melody Award Best New Artist Pei-Yu HUNG to perform, alongside master conductor CHIEN Wen-pin and the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra, reimagining CHEN's music with full classical orchestration. The music will spark an infinite wave of soul-stirring emotions, each spark intertwining with your soul, bringing you the warmest feelings of early spring this February.

Artists Introduction
Conductor|CHIEN Wen-pin
CHIEN Wen-pin, General and Artistic Director of the National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying), was born in 1967, graduated from the National Taiwan Academy of Arts and awarded a Master's degree at the National University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna. CHIEN joined the Deutsche Oper am Rhein (Düsseldorf/ Duisburg, Germany) in 1996 and served as "Kapellmeister" for 22 years. 1998-2004 he was Resident Conductor of the Pacific Music Festival (Sapporo, Japan).
2001-2007 he was Music Director of National Symphony Orchestra (Taiwan Philharmonic); during his tenure the orchestra has achieved several milestones such as creating Subscription series, commissioning Taiwanese composers, introducing an opera series which coroneted with the first production of the complete "Der Ring des Nibelungen" by Richard WAGNER in Chinese speaking areas, upon orchestra's 20th anniversary in 2006. 2014-2016 CHIEN was Artistic Advisor of the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra. In addition, CHIEN was winner of the "National Award for Arts" in 2014.
Singer|Pei-Yu HUNG
A Taiwanese singer and actress, HUNG rose to fame in the TV singing competition Super Idol through a challenge round, later becoming the runner-up in the following season. She gained widespread recognition for singing the theme song "Tiptoe to You" for a TV drama, which became a hit in the pop music scene. Since 2017, she has performed in several of Jimmy's musical productions, including Subway, Turn Left, Turn Right. Love, or Regret, and The Rainbow of Time. In 2023, HUNG received eight nominations with her debut album Silver Lining at the 34th Golden Melody Awards, including Best Mandarin Female Singer and Album of the Year, garnering the most nominations of the year. She also won the Best New Artist award at the same event. That year, she also won Best Original Film Song at the 60th Golden Horse Awards for the song "The Usual," the theme song of the movie Day Off.

Salsa CHEN is a renowned composer and singer who, as an international record executive, also significantly shaped Taiwanese pop music. Since composing "Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter" for LIU Wen-zheng, CHEN has seen many renowned artists perform her works over the past four decades, including Ten Years (Eason CHAN), Silent Flower (Jody CHIANG), Angel Devil (Hebe TIEN), The Next Dawn (Claire KUO), He Doesn't Love Me (Karen MOK), and The Promise (Where CHOU). Her music and compositions transcend eras, cementing her legacy as a symbol of female composers.
